The High Council of Energy (HCE) has endorsed a number of measures aimed to improve electricity services in Aden and the government-held governorates.
In its session today, Sunday, chaired by the Prime Minister, the Chairman of the HCE, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, the Council reviewed the premeditated plans to meet the increasing needs of power in the summer time, increase generate capacity and ensures sustainable oil derivatives supplies.
The meeting approved a mechanism to ensure fuels supplies to operate the President Gas-Station in Aden and to provide necessary requirements for electricity power projects to ensure the stability of electricity network in Aden and other government-held governorates during upcoming summer times.
The HCE assigned a committee from the Ministries of Finance and Electricity, the Public Electricity Corporation, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the local authorities to undertake the process of financial accounting for energy fuels, take the necessary action and explore effective mechanisms to develop the supply system and the accountability mechanism to deliver on the government's fuels obligations.
The Prime Minister ordered to carry out the maintenance works for the President Gas-Station in Aden and explore quick solutions to the existing problems of the electricity network.
