The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani held talks today, Tuesday, with the Director-General of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) Fahd al-Saliti over joint cooperation between Yemen the Fund.
The conversations focused on the QFFD's activities and the development projects in Yemen which carried out in cooperation with the UN's agencies in the fields of food security, health care, livelihoods, water and empowering woman.
They also touched on the action-plans to carry out the projects funded by the QFFD, most notable of all: the maintenance and re-operate Aden Electricity Station and supporting Khalifa Hospital in al-Turba city of Taiz governorate.
Zindani greatly valued the QFFD's significant role in funding crucial projects contribute to improve basic services and enhance sustainable development.
The Minister looked for further support from the QFFD to sustain the Yemeni government's efforts to push the economic recovery drive and achieve stability in the country.
The Director-General of the QFFD stated that the Fund is interested in bolstering direct cooperation with the Yemeni government, assisting the economic recovery program in Yemen and sustaining the sustainable development efforts.
