The Republic of Yemen participated in the 20th Extraordinary Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states, held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Yemeni delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Mustafa Noman.
The meeting discussed the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, plots to annex or displace Palestinians from their land, and the need for solidarity and collective action to support the rights of the Palestinian people and protect civilians in Gaza. The meeting also discussed Syria's request to resume its membership in the organization, and Yemen welcomed Syria's return to full membership.
Yemen condemned Israel's attacks on Syria and its incursion into Syrian territory, which it considered a violation of international law and a threat to regional peace and security. Yemen called on the international community and the UN Security Council to take immediate action to enforce international law, stop Israel's aggression, and withdraw from occupied Syrian territories.
