[07/03/2025 07:29]
VIENNA-SABA
Yemen emphasized the importance of implementing international decisions regarding the ban on the flow of Iranian weapons to the terrorist Houthi militia.

Yemen's ambassador to Vienna, Haytham Shuja'aadin, renewed this call in his address to the International Atomic Energy Agency's Board of Governors, urging Iran to stop its actions that destabilize security and stability in Yemen and the region by continuing to support the Houthi militia with weapons, necessitating Yemen's support for protecting its territories.

Shuja'aadin also highlighted the need for practical steps to support the Presidential Leadership Council and the Yemeni government in restoring the state and enhancing its capabilities to protect Yemen's vital waterways.

The meeting discussed verification and monitoring in Iran under UN Security Council Resolution 2231 of 2015, Iran's violations of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action due to its suspension of nuclear program commitments, nuclear science and technology topics, the application of safeguards in Korea and Syria, Israel's nuclear capabilities, and the situation in Ukraine.
