Chairman of the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology Captain Saleh bin Nuhaid discussed Friday here with the Chairman of the Omani Civil Aviation Authority Engineer Naif Al-Abri ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two countries in the field of civil aviation and air navigation.
During the meeting, they discussed efforts to improve and develop air navigation services, the smooth flow of regional air traffic and support in all areas of civil aviation.
They also examined the best ways to enhance and develop these services to achieve the common goals of both countries.
The two parties reviewed improvements to air routes and developed future plans to enhance air safety and efficiency, increase capacity in airspace over the high seas, and introduce and operate the latest technologies and equipment for air navigation systems in line with international developments and recommendations.
They aimed to overcome obstacles and simplify air navigation tasks while optimizing the capabilities and skills of qualified personnel to improve the efficiency of shared airspace between the two countries.
They also discussed initiatives and projects that benefit the two brotherly countries and the aviation sector in general, as well as the importance of supporting the development of Yemeni technical capacities and the possibility of accelerating air connectivity between the two nations, encouraging local airlines to operate within both countries.
