Prime Minister, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, met with Peter Hawkins, UNICEF Representative to Yemen, to discuss the organization's humanitarian interventions in the country.
During the meeting, Hawkins briefed the Prime Minister on UNICEF's efforts to provide unconditional cash transfers to vulnerable groups, enhance social protection, and prevent malnutrition in densely populated areas.
The discussion also touched on the challenges faced by humanitarian workers in areas controlled by Houthi militia, including the detention of aid workers. Prime Minister bin Mubarak reiterated the government's commitment to improving living conditions for all citizens and urged the release of detained humanitarian workers.
