Al-Bahsani, US Ambassador discuss national, regional developments

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Faraj al-Bahsani met today, Thursday, with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin to discuss the developments in the national and regional arenas and the going efforts to boost security and stability.

The conversations covered topics related to the recent American sanction against the Houthi militias leaders, the developments in Hadramout governorate and the PLC's ongoing efforts to find out sustainable solutions to the crisis to ensure to achieve the aspirations of the fellow citizens in the governorate for security, stability and development.

The Maj. General al-Bahsani recounted the PLC's efforts to deal with the repercussions of the war, citing the measures that have been taken in different areas, including controlling corruption and making institutional reforms to improve the government's institutions' performance.

The American Ambassador confirmed the continuation of his administration's support for the PLC and the government.
Mr. Fagin also noted that the U.S. is committed to support the efforts aiming to alleviate the humanitarian suffering and improve the livelihoods for the Yemeni people.
