The Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan paid Wednesday a visit to the University Park, where the first phase of work was completed at a cost of $240,000 funded by the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and implemented by the Public Works Project.

During the visit, Governor Shamsan listened to a detailed explanation from the Director of the Public Works Project Engineer Yaser al-Shibani about the components of the park and the remaining phases of the project.

The governor expressed his gratitude to the UNOPS and the Public Works Project for their efforts in implementing the project, emphasizing the need to complete the remaining phases, as the park is significant as a recreational space for university students and city residents.

The Director General of Technical Administration in the governorate Engineer Basheer al-Alimi explained that the first phase of the project includes green spaces, children's playgrounds, seating areas, restrooms, pathways, irrigation networks and lighting networks, in addition to several construction components.
