The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SPDRY) contributed to today, Tuesday, in the twenty-second meeting of the Joint Technical Committee to determine the development needs of the Republic of Yemen, organized by the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
The head of the SPDRY's delegation Assistant General Supervisor and Head of the Development Projects and Initiatives Sector Eng. Hassan al-Attas briefed the participants including the Yemeni concerned authorities, the UNDP, the Islamic Development Bank and a number of Arab development funds on the program’s projects and initiatives that are being implemented, under implementation and under study totaling 264 development projects and initiatives.
It is important to note that the SPDRY has carried out its development projects and initiatives in 8 basic and vital sectors, namely: education, health, water, energy, transportation, agriculture and fisheries, development and support of the capabilities of the Yemeni government, and development programs, in various Yemeni governorates.
