Deputy Governor of Taiz for Health Affairs Elan Abdulhaq opened a community accountability session aimed at raising awareness and social responsibility regarding the rights of persons with disabilities and marginalized groups.
The session aims to improve the quality of services provided to both persons with disabilities and marginalized groups by discussing the performance of four government offices in Taiz Governorate: Immigration and Passports Authority, the Public Health and Population Office, the Education Office and the Youth and Sports Office, with a focus on enhancing transparency and improving the performance of these entities in serving the targeted groups.
Abdulhaq emphasized the need to activate the role of the Disabled Care and Rehabilitation Fund as one of the foundations for ensuring sustainable support for these groups, highlighting the importance of integrating efforts between government and community institutions to enhance services.
She expressed her appreciation for the role played by the Basmat Hayat Foundation and Saferworld in supporting these community activities.
For his part, Dr. Fahd al-Nadhari, the Deputy Director of the Public Health and Population Office praised the importance of the community accountability session as a tool for improving the level of services provided and enhancing communication between government entities and the targeted groups.
He reaffirmed the Health Office's commitment to supporting all initiatives that contribute to achieving social justice and improving service quality.
