Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak chaired, at the headquarters of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, a meeting of the executive directors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, America, Britain and France in the Fund.

The meeting aimed to coordinate efforts to support the Yemen file as a priority in the Fund's activity and support the vision and priorities of the Yemeni government.

The meeting discussed coordination mechanisms to mobilize support for the plan and the letter submitted by the Yemeni government to the IMF and the expected impact of expanding the Fund's activity on the situation in Yemen.

The Prime Minister briefed the executive directors on the situation in Yemen, especially in the economic and financial fields and the huge economic difficulties compounded by the Houthi terrorist attacks on crude oil export facilities.

He cited what the government is doing to deal with these challenges, its plan and vision for reforms and economic recovery, and its need to support partners from donor countries and organizations.

The executive directors of the offices of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed Al-Rashed, France Arnaud Boissy, Britain Vida Boone, America Elizabeth Shortino and the Executive Director of the Arab Group at the Fund Mohammed Maait.
They affirmed their support for the Yemeni government in the IMF.

They also stated that they are keen on the stability of Yemen as an important factor for the stability and security of the region and the world.

The US Special Envoy to Yemen Tim Lenderking and UK Ambassador to Yemen Abda Sharif contributed to the discussions.
