Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak met with the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN) Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the international ministerial meeting to mobilize support for the Yemeni government, which is organized by the government in partnership with Britain.
They reviewed aspects of the partnership between the government and the UN in various aspects, and its continuous efforts to establish peace, in light of the intransigence of the Houthi terrorist militias, their escalating violations of human rights, their systematic war against the Yemeni people, their refusal to release United Nations employees and the humanitarian and civil work community, in addition to their attacks on international navigation.
They also discussed UN support for the government's priorities and its economic recovery plan, and the importance of adopting a different approach to changing the behavior of the Houthi terrorist militia, and taking firm measures against its violations of humanitarian work and its staff.
The Prime Minister cited the systematic economic war of the Houthi militias on the Yemeni people, the fabrication of obstacles to the access and looting of humanitarian aid, the challenges resulting from their terrorist attacks on oil export ports and targeting international navigation and the repercussions of this on the economic and humanitarian situation.
The Secretary-General of the UN stressed that the Yemen file will remain a priority for the UN and it will carry out its responsibilities in partnership with the Yemeni government
