Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak received today, Tuesday, the UN's Special Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg.
Mr. Grundberg briefed Bin Mubarak on the outcomes of his recent regional and international visits and consultations in order to revive the political process and the proposed options to get the terrorist Houthi militias and its backers in Tehran to earnestly deal with the peace efforts and to stop its increasingly growing violations and atrocities against the civilians, most recent of all the militias brutal crimes against the villagers in the al-Baidah governorate.

The talks also touched on the needed regional and international support to sustain the government's efforts to manage the economic hardships that have been further worsen by the Houthi militias' systematical economic war on the Yemeni people by targeting the oil exports seaports and the militias' military operations against the commercial ships and shipping lanes.

The Prime Minister reconfirmed the government adherence to the comprehensive and fair peace option that is based on the agreed on references for peace, mainly the UNSCR's resolution 2216.

Mr. Grundberg stated that the UN is very keen to double down efforts to launch an inclusive political process, de-escalate tension, end the war and establish peace.
