Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya al-Zindani met today, Tuesday, with the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg.
They conferred over the developments in the Yemeni arena and the outcomes of Mr. Grundberg's communications aimed to push the peace process efforts in Yemen.
Dr. al-Zindani underscored the importance of exercising pressures on the Houthi militias to get them earnestly engaged in the peace efforts to put an end of the Yemeni people's suffering.
He also touched on the atrocities and gross violations of the terrorist Houthi militias against the civilians and villagers in the village of al-Hankat in the governorate of al-Baidha.
The Foreign Minister restated that the political leadership is very keen to deal constructively with the UN-led efforts and the regional good offices to reach an inclusive political settlement that ensures to eliminate the coup and restore the state's institutions based on the agreed on references for peace and the UN Security Council's related resolutions, namely the resolution 2216.
The UN's Envoy cited the ongoing efforts he has been making to de-escalate the tension, end the war and make peace in Yemen within an inclusive political process, guided by the UN.
