Yemen's Chief of Staff Lit. Gen. Sagheer bin Aziz met with Egyptian Military Attaché Brigadier General Samer Shaaban to discuss enhancing bilateral cooperation in military, security, and maritime security fields.
They addressed regional developments, particularly the escalating threats from the Houthi militia in the Red and Arabian Seas, and Gulf of Aden, which pose risks to global maritime navigation.
The meeting emphasized Egypt's longstanding support for Yemen, with General bin Aziz expressing gratitude for Egypt's historical backing.
He expressed aspirations for continued Egyptian assistance to enhance Yemeni Armed Forces' capabilities, specifically in Training and Rehabilitation; Technical and Technological Advancements; and Operational Coordination.
