A national human rights team visited Yemen's Taiz governorate, specifically Al-Lasab, Al-Najd and Al-Harar villages in Sala district, to assess human rights violations.
Led by Judge Ishraq Al-Maqtari, the team of the National Committee for Investigating Alleged Human Rights investigated looked at scattered incidents reported in December and January.
Citizens face perilous conditions, using treacherous roads to transport essential goods, while female farmers, school children and others risk their lives amidst Houthi militia shelling and sniper attacks. Recently, women shepherds were exposed to Houthi shells near their village.
The Committee's field visit highlighted the dire situation.
