The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassim Buhaybeh greatly valued the significant contribution by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the government's efforts to improve health and medical services.

He voiced his remark today, Sunday, during his visit to the Heart Center at Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in the temporary capital Aden, where he was briefed on the outcomes of the voluntary medical project for open-heart surgery and catheterization for adults.

The 8-day project funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in cooperation with the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SPDRY).

The volunteer medical team of the KSrelief managed to perform 116 medical procedures between open-heart operations, therapeutic catheters and aortic valve transplant (aorta) through interventional cardiac catheterization without the need for surgical opening.
