The Council of Minister has approved a proposal of the governmental economic plan for the urgent priorities and its operational matrix.
The Cabinet endorsed the plan in an extraordinary meeting held today, Thursday, via video conference, technology presided over by the Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak.
The Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY)participated in the meeting.
The Cabinet set up a supervisory panel headed by Prime Minister, includes membership of the Governor of the CBY, Ministers of Finance, Civil Services and Insurances, Planning and International Cooperation, Transport, Electricity, Industry and Trade, Local Administration, Oil and Minerals, General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and the Office of the Prime Minister.
The Panel is tasked with supervising over the progress in the implementation of the government's plan to deal with the developments and the urgent priorities, review the reports and assess the progress realized in implementing the operational matrix of the government plan, know about the difficulties facing the implementation of the plan, propose the appropriate solutions and work on mobilizing the needed resources to put the plan in place.
The Council of Minister also approved to establish a technical committee from the concerned authorities to work out an appropriate mechanism to carry out the plans of the stated authorities in the matrix.
