A dialogue session was organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the Saudi capital of Riyadh today on "Land Degradation and Human Development in Yemen."
The country's delegation participating in the event was led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Ahmed al-Zaamiki.
The forum addressed the negative impact of land degradation on agriculture and food security, and the most prominent challenges facing sustainable human development in Yemen.
Al-Zamiki made reference to the need for coordinating local and international efforts to stem the tide of land degradation.
