Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani discussed Saturday the current situation in Yemen with Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif al-Zayyani, exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 20th Regional Security Forum (Manama Dialogue), Minister Zindani conveyed the greetings of President Dr. Rashad Mohammad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Foreign Minister emphasized the strong and distinguished fraternal relations between the two countries and their peoples, praising Bahrain’s leadership government and people for their support of Yemen at various stages.
He expressed his appreciation for the excellent organization and preparation of this year’s Regional Security Forum (Manama Dialogue).
For his part, the Bahraini Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country’s steadfast support for the Presidential Leadership Council and its backing for regional and international efforts to reach a political solution that ends the war and achieves peace and stability in Yemen.
