World Bank delegation reviews Solar Power System Project for Bir Nasser Water Field

A delegation from the World Bank, led by the Country Director for the group in Yemen Dina Abu Ghida, inspected Friday the project for establishing a solar power system with a capacity of one megawatt for the Bir Nasser water field.
This project is part of the Emergency Human Capital Project in Yemen, funded by the organization through the United Nations Office for Project Services, and overseen by the Urban Water and Sanitation Project.
The World Bank delegation learned from the General Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Authority in Aden Engineer Mohammed Bakhubairah about the project's progress.
The project includes the supply, installation, and operation of a solar power system with a capacity greater than one megawatt, which encompasses the supply and installation of all electrical components related to the solar system, as well as all civil and construction works associated with it.
It also involves connecting the new solar system and the operational energy at the station to an automated linking system, establishing a remote monitoring and control system with data and energy storage, and supplying and installing a 12,000-liter diesel tank with all necessary accessories.
Engineer Bakhubairah praised the role and support of the World Bank, which has significantly contributed to improving water production and supply and organizing the sanitation network for the districts of Aden Governorate.
