Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

MASAM destroys 1,359 unexploded ordnances in Abyan

The MASAM Project for Landmine Clearance in Yemen has carried out a new destruction operation involving 1,359 unexploded ordnance remnants of war planted by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia in the Dofas area of the Zinjibar district in Abyan Governorate.
The leader of the special operations team in the Aden sector, Engineer Munther Qasem stated that the team executed the detonation and destruction of 567 unexploded shells and munitions, 773 assorted fuses, in addition to 5 anti-tank mines, 2 air-to-land missiles, 11 Katyusha rockets, and one large shell.
Qasem indicated in a statement to the project's media office that these explosives were collected during November from several areas in response to reports from security authorities and citizens.
He affirmed that the destruction operation was carried out according to international standards for the safe disposal of landmines and remnants of war, in a location far from populated areas and agricultural lands in the Dofas region.
He pointed out that these remnants pose a significant threat to citizens' lives, and their removal enables safe movement in their pastures, farms, and roads.
