The GCC leaders have reiterated their total support to the Presidential Leadership Council led by President Dr. Rashad al-Alim to achieve security and stability in Yemen, and reach a comprehensive political solution in line with the Gulf Initiative and the Security Council's resolution no. 2216.

The final communiqué of the 45th session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, held in Kuwait today, greeted the continuity of the sincere efforts made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman and the existing contacts with all Yemeni parties to revitalize the political process with a view to effecting a comprehensive and sustainable political solution in Yemen.
