A renewable energy Laboratory and renewable energy section were inaugurated today, Sunday, at the Industrial and Technological Institute in the city of al-Mukalla of Hadramout governorate, funded by a grant provided by the government of South Korea.
The Lab. Includes training equipment and tools for training on solar and wind energy.
The Minister of Higher Education and Vocational Training Dr. Khaled al-Wusabi, Governor of Hadramout Mabkhot bin Madhi and the S. Korean Ambassador to Yemen DO Bong-Kae launched the work on the renewable energy Lab and section.
Minister al-Wusabi highly appreciated the Korean government's grant, describing it as very helpful to develop the Industrial and Technological Institute and improve its outputs.
He said" The project of Lab of renewable energy is the first of its kind to be established in the Republic of Yemen, it is a significant landmark in the technical education and vocational training".
For his part, the Governor greatly valued the Korean grant that is set to make difference in the outputs of the Industrial and Technological Institute. " We're deeply grateful to the Korean friends for their support to technical education and vocational training in the goverorate" said, bin Madhi.
