The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi received today, Wednesday, the Turkish Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Mostafa Pollat.
They conferred over the latest developments relating to the political and humanitarian situation in Yemen amid the Houthis' continuing escalation in the international marine waterways in the Red Sea, Bab El-Mandeb and the Gulf of Aden and the subsequent humanitarian repercussions.
They also touched on the Yemeni-Turkish bilateral relations and the issues of common interest, including the increase in the Turkish humanitarian aids to Yemen.
The idea of launching Turkish airline flights from and to Aden international airport was also discussed.
The Member of the PLC praised the role that Turkey has been playing in supporting the humanitarian efforts in Yemen, underscoring the importance of further promoting joint cooperation between the two countries to contribute toward establishing security and stability, improving the people's living conditions.
The Turkish Ambassador affirmed the keenness of his country to bolster relations with Yemen, to support the PLC and the government's efforts to end the crisis, achieve peace and development.
