Flamengo team won the Brazilian Football Cup title after defeating its host Atletico Mineiro 1-0 in the second leg of the final match held at Maracana Stadium.Gonzalo La Plata scored the winning goal for Flamengo in the 82nd minute. Flamengo also won the first leg match by a score of 3-1 last week.

Flamengo won the title for the fifth time in its history after winning it in 1990, 2006, 2013 and 2022, while Atletico Mineiro, the title winner twice in 2014 and 2021, lost the final match for the second time after 2016.
