Liverpool regained the lead in the English Premier League by defeating its guest Brighton 2-1 in the tenth round of the competition.

Liverpool benefited from the loss of its competitor Manchester City, the title holder, in the same round to regain, the lead in the competition standings after raising its score to 25 points, two points ahead of Manchester City.
