Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Governor of Marib governorate, Maj. General Sultan al-Arada stressed that is very necessary to take the advantage of our Arab brothers' and friends' support to build the Yemeni armed forces' capacities so that they can do their job effectively in defending Yemen's sovereignty, restoring the state's institutions, enforce the government's control over all Yemeni territories, establish peace, security and stability.

" We must make the best of our Arab brothers' and foreign friends' support to build the Yemeni armed forces and boost their capacities to be capable of doing the duty sufficiently and effectively", said al-Arada.

His remark came during his meeting today, Sunday, with the Chief of the General Staff, Commander of the Joint Operations (Lt Gen) Sagheer bin Aziz, who the member of the PLC on the outcomes of his visits to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States and the talks he held with Saudi and American officials.

General Aziz noted that his talks with both the Saudi and American officials mainly focused on boosting bilateral coordination and cooperation in the military and security fields and increasing the training and capacity-building of the Yemeni armed forces in order to be active partner in maintaining the security and stability in Yemen, securing the safety of international shipping lanes, fighting terrorism and smuggling businesses, first and foremost the terrorist Houthi Group.
