The Republic of Yemen has welcomed the statements made in the final communiqué of the Gulf-European Summit regarding the Yemeni situation in its first session.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), praised the support from brothers and friends, calling on the Houthi militias to cease their aggressive rhetoric and actions, and to engage in a comprehensive political process under the auspices of the United Nations in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2216 to end the war and achieve sustainable peace in Yemen.
The ministry expressed its high appreciation for the positions of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union in support of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Yemeni people.
