Minister of Public Health Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh held talks with the Regional Director of the World Health Organization for the Eastern Mediterranean Dr. Hanan Balkhi over ways to promote cooperation and support the health sector in Yemen.

In a meeting held on the sidelines of the 71st session of the Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean in Doha, Minister Buhaybeh acquainted Balkhi with the health situation in Yemen, the challenges facing it, and the key role played the WHO office in Yemen plays in backing the health sector, the importance of supporting and developing it, and opening new domains for action.
