Saudi Arabia and the Arab Republic of Egypt have reaffirmed their full support for the Presidential Leadership Council in the Republic of Yemen.
They emphasized the importance of comprehensive support for international and regional efforts to achieve a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, ensuring unity and stability for the Yemeni people.
This announcement was made in a joint statement issued today at the conclusion of the visit by the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to the Arab Republic of Egypt in response to an invitation from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Egyptian party praised Saudi Arabia's numerous efforts and initiatives aimed at encouraging dialogue and reconciliation among Yemeni parties, as well as its role in providing and facilitating humanitarian aid to all regions of Yemen.
Meanwhile, the Saudi party commended Egypt's role in de-escalating tensions in the region and supporting comprehensive settlement efforts in the Yemeni crisis that meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people.
Both sides emphasized the importance of the Houthi militia engaging positively with efforts aimed at ending the Yemeni crisis and seriously responding to peace initiatives and efforts.
Furthermore, both parties highlighted the significance of maintaining the security and stability of the Red Sea region, which is a matter of international concern due to its connection to global interests.
They stressed the necessity of safeguarding it from any risks or threats that could impact regional and international peace and security, as well as global trade and the international economy.
