Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak spoke on phone today, Monday, with the Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa at the British Foreign Office, Hamish Falconer, on the Yemeni-British relations and the British role in supporting the Yemeni government and people.
The two sides also touched upon the developments at the national, regional and international levels and the positions of the two countries towards them, including the need to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and Lebanon and its serious repercussions that threaten the security and stability of the region and the world.
The continuing terrorist attacks by the Houthi militias on commercial ships and international navigation were also discussed.
The Prime Minister praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, highlighting the need for more British support for the Yemeni government and people in these exceptional circumstances.
The British minister renewed his country's position in support of the Yemeni government and its efforts to implement reforms and alleviate human suffering.
