Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fishery Salem al-Soqatri held discussions today, Thursday, in the transitional capital Aden, with the Representative of the UNDP in Yemen Zina Ali over joint cooperation and coordination.
The project of repairing fishing seaport in Aden was key focus of the conversations.
The project is funded by German Ministry for Economic and Development Cooperation through the German Development Fund. The total budget of the project is $35 million.
The work on the sustainable project for fishery farms in the Red, Sea, Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Aden was also touched upon.
The project is funded by the World Bank and, carried out by the UNDP, aimed to repair nine fishery unloading centers in the governorates of Aden, Hadramout, al-Mahra and Taiz..
