The Deputy Governor of Hadhramaut Salem bin Sharman discussed Sunday with a delegation from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) led by the UNDP Resident Representative in Yemen Zeina Ali the program's developmental interventions in the Hadhramout Valley.
The meeting reviewed the UN's efforts to implement more future projects in the districts of Hadhramout Valley, as well as the coordination between the UNDP, its local partners, and the local authorities in the targeted districts.
The discussions included projects being executed under the Institutional and Economic Resilience Project (SERI), funded by the European Union, which encompasses sustainable initiatives in construction and human development that serve the public interests of the community.
Deputy Governor bin Sharman emphasized the local authority's commitment to providing facilities and support for the implementation of the UNDP's project activities in the coming years, aligning with the plans of local authorities in the districts and contributing to the expansion of activities to include additional districts.
For her part, the UNDP Resident Representative in Yemen confirmed the intention to double the program's project activities to increase the volume and sources of financial funding for the implementation of numerous service and developmental projects.
