Minister of Defense (Lt. Gen) Mohsen al-Daeri met separately today, Saturday, with the Chargé d' Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Yemen Zhao Zheng and the Japanese Military Attaché to Yemen Sushiro Shimamura.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Yemen in light of the Houthi terrorist militias' continued attacks on commercial ships and international shipping routes in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden and the serious damage the militias' reckless actions pose to the global economy and international peace and security.
General al-Daeri stated that the stability of the region and ensuring freedom of maritime navigation can be achieved by sustaining the capacities of the government and the armed forces to impose their control over the entire national territory.
