KSrelief Center inks agreement with IOM to improve sanitation services in Marib

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed a joint cooperation agreement with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to improve sanitation services for displaced people and the host community in Marib governorate, at a total cost of two million and 250 thousand US dollars.

The agreement was signed by the Advisor at the Royal Court, the General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Abdullah al-Rabiah and the Director-General of the IOM Amy Pope, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly at its seventy-ninth session in New York.

The agreement aims to improve access to safe sanitation facilities and waste management services for IDPs and the host community in Marib governorate, including the construction of 200 new latrines, the rehabilitation of 600 sewage pits and the strengthening of local waste management capacity to contribute to safer and healthier living conditions.

As many as 47,598 individuals are expected to benefit directly and 137,580 individuals is set to benefit indirectly from this agreement.
