Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Egyptian FM reiterates support for Yemen's unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity

The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Dr. Badr Abdel Aty reiterated the Arab Republic of Egypt's support for legitimacy in Yemen , the independence of state institutions and its firm support for Yemen's unity, independence and territorial integrity.

He made his statement during his conversations with the American Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking in Washington.

Abdel Aty underlined the importance of Yemen's security and stability as well as the security of the Red Sea and the safety of international maritime navigation.

" The security of the Red Sea is vitally important for Egyptian national security and the security of Arab region and the African Horn region as well", he said.

The Spokesman for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Tamim Khlaf said in a statement that Abdel Aty affirmed Egypt's support for all efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis, in accordance with the GCC's Initiative and its executive mechanisms, the outcomes of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution 2216.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed that it is very important for the international community to play its role in mitigating the humanitarian crisis the Yemeni people have been experiencing and providing the necessary support to finance the UN's relief programs in Yemen.
