Yemen's Permanent Representative of the Republic of Yemen to the League of Arab States Ambassador Riyadh al-Akbari called on the countries of the world to recognize the State of Palestine and support its full membership in the United Nations.

He made his statement as he chaired today, Wednesday, a meeting of the Council of the Arab League with the presence of the Ambassadors of Latin America and Caribbean Sea to Cairo.

Ambassador al-Akbari praised the countries that took the initiative to recognize and support the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative with East al-Quds as its capital.

He called on all friendly countries and international organizations to continue supporting the Palestinian cause and achieving justice for the Palestinian people, who are suffering under occupation, genocide, settlement and displacement.

Ambassador al-Akbari reiterated the call on the international community and the UN Security Council to implement the relevant UN's resolutions on the Palestinian issue and force the occupying entity to immediately comply with the international resolutions and the temporary measures ordered by the International Court of Justice in its orders, end its occupation of the territory of the State of Palestine, immediately and completely stop the criminal war in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
