Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

The ministerial committee tasked with studying the needs for adjusting fund fees values convened Sunday under the leadership of the Minister of Finance, the Chairman of the Committee, Salem bin Brek discussed visions and proposals for appropriate adjustments to the fund fees.
During the meeting, which included the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries Salem al-Soqatri, the Minister of Local Administration Hussein al-Aghbari, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Prime Minister's Office Aziz Nasher and several concerned deputy ministers of finance and officials, participants reviewed the values and fees for goods and services designated for operational funds and their annual revenues.
They proposed adjustments to these values and fees to better meet the needs of the funds' activities under the current circumstances.
Participants in the meeting also addressed the organization of fund management and the use of their resources by approving annual budgets and providing final accounts.
They emphasized the importance of reviewing the status of the funds, enhancing oversight, focusing on revenue collection, correcting revenue resources, and ensuring compliance with the legally mandated percentage of revenue allocated for local units.
