Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh held talks with the WHO representative in Yemen Dr. Arturo Pesign on a number of topics related to health affairs and areas of coordination between the ministry and the WHO for better cooperation.
The meeting, which was held here today, addressed the importance of Yemen's preparing for various health emergencies, including the declaration of monkeypox as a global emergency being in prevalence in Africa now, strengthening examination at ports of entry, providing testing solutions for this disease in central laboratories, and enhancing surveillance, awareness and knowledge about the epidemic.
