The Yemeni government has called on all regional and international partners, including countries, financial institutions, international and humanitarian organizations, to support the government's efforts to cope with the huge damage caused by the atmosphere depression that is currently hitting the governorates of Hodeidah and Hajjah, resulted in heavy rains and floods in the two governorates, causing wide-scale material damages to infrastructure, public and private property.

The Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation reported that there is significant damage to displacement communities and mud houses as a result of heavy rains, which threatens the lives of residents and endangers their property.

The Ministry stressed that the dangerous situation caused by the atmosphere depression requires urgent and comprehensive intervention to deal with the repercussions and alleviate the suffering of the affected citizens, provide them with the necessary alternatives in the most affected areas, and implement urgent measures to drain torrential water.
