The Council of Minister held an extraordinary session today, Wednesday, in the transitional capital Aden presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak devoted to discuss the military situations and the armed forces' conditions.
The Cabinet elaborately discussed the ongoing plans and efforts to re-organize and unite the armed forces and upgrade the military infrastructure of the armed forces and improve the troops' capacities and combat efficiency.
The Defense Minister provided an informative report about the overall military situation and the ongoing efforts to develop the armed forces' training and combating skills and capacities.
The Cabinet decided to establish a committee from the Ministries of Defense, Finance, Oil and Mineral, Health and Population, Endowments & Guidance, Information, Local Administration and Water and Environment and the General Secretariat of the Council of the Ministers to work out an executive matrix to meet the needs of the armed forces and address the problems which need to be tackled based on the pressing priorities.
