Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak has ordered for a national perspective to be formulated to reflect Yemen's priorities to tackle the devastating effects of climate change on livelihoods, environmental resources, basic services, infrastructure, and the global aid Yemen needs to limit these repercussions.

Chairing a government meeting in the temporary capital Aden today, the premier, as part of the ongoing preparations for Yemen's participation in the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP 29) scheduled to be held in Baku next November, stressed the need to present a clear vision on the effects of climate change on Yemen and Yemen's needs and the government's vision to tackle climate change being one of the most affected countries, even though Yemen is among the states least contributing to emissions causing global warming.
