The Yemeni government has welcomed what is stated in the declaration of the United Nations Special Envoy regarding canceling the recent decisions against a number of banks and the banking sector, resuming flights through Sana’a International Airport, and facilitating them to other destinations as needed, in view of the humanitarian conditions experienced by the Yemeni people, and in accordance with the principle of flexibility in implementing comprehensive reforms.
While the Yemeni government views this initiative on its part as an entry point to alleviate the suffering, it hopes that the announced agreement will lead to creating favorable conditions for a constructive dialogue to end all Houthi practices against the banking sector, the economy and the national currency, and to fulfill the obligations contained in the map.
