The First Deputy Governor of Taiz, Dr. Abdulqawi al-Mikhlafi, today laid the foundation stone for a water well project for the al-Thawarah Hospital Authority and the neighboring neighborhoods, with the support of the Kuwaiti Water Association (KWA) and implementation by the Mercy Cover Foundation.
Deputy Governor al-Mikhlafi emphasized the importance of the well projects that have been drilled and handed over to the Water Corporation, as they constitute an important tributary to meeting the citizens' water needs and alleviating the crisis resulting from the Houthi militia's control over all the water fields that used to feed the city.
He appreciated the fraternal role of the brothers in the State of Kuwait who were a support for their Yemeni brothers in peace and war.
For his part, the Director General of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Taiz, indicated that the project includes drilling an artesian well with a solar power system and a pumping unit for operation, and the Revolutionary Hospital Authority and the neighboring neighborhoods will benefit from it.
In the context, the First Deputy Governor of Taiz, along with the Director General of the Water and Sanitation Corporation, and the Director General of the Sala District inspected the water projects of the Water Corporation in Sala.
