Health minister, WHO representative discusses enhancing cooperation

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasem Buhaybeh held talks here today with the WHO representative in Yemen Dr. Arturo Pesigan on ways of developing concerted action to strengthen and develop the operation of the healthcare system, and improve medical services.
Buhaybeh went over the current epidemiological situation, the spread of acute watery diarrhea and cholera, the interventions to confront them, and the possibility of contributing to limiting their spread.
The Minister stressed the importance of unifying efforts, setting work priorities according to the ministry’s needs, and strengthening the existing partnership between the ministry and the WHO.
