The Arab League Council began its extraordinary session at the level of permanent representatives headed by Yemen’s permanent representative to the League Riyad Al-Akbari.
The session is discussing the policy of confronting the crimes of genocide and Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, in addition to colonial expansion.
The meeting was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo, at the invitation of the State of Palestine, and with the support of the Arab member states, to discuss and approve Arab and international action to stop the crime of genocide, Israeli aggression, its colonial settlement expansion, and the punitive measures recently approved by the Israeli occupation's government.
In his opening speech, Ambassador Al-Akbari renewed Yemen's call for intensifying joint Arab efforts to push the UN Security Council to carry out its legal, moral and humanitarian duties and oblige Israel to comply with international humanitarian law and international resolutions concerning the Palestinian cause, and to immediately comply with the binding decisions of the International Court of Justice.
