Ambassador of Yemen to the European Union Mohammed Taha Mustafa met Friday with the Head of the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq and Regional Policies Section at the EU, Ambassador Anna-Maria Panagiotopoulos, to discuss bilateral relations.

He discussed with her the latest developments on the national scene, including the continued terrorism of the Iran-backed Houthi militias against citizens and the arrests that have targeted employees working with international organizations, the detention of four Yemeni Airlines planes at Sana'a airport which has resulted in disruption in the travel of the rest of Yemeni pilgrims to their homeland and exposing them to difficulties, as well as the delay in flights transporting citizens, especially patients, to brotherly and friendly countries for treatment.

For her part, the European official affirmed the European Union's continued support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government, expressing the EU's condemnation of the arrests targeting employees of international organizations.
She renewed the EU's support for the UN envoy to Yemen in his work to prepare a roadmap for peace.
