Ambassador al-Sunaini reviews situations in Yemen in Japanese

Yemen's Ambassador to Japan, Adel al-Sunaini, discussed the various stages and conditions of education in Yemen, amidst the war ignited by the terrorist Houthi militias.

In his intervention at the seminar held at Konma University, Japan, entitled "Education in Yemen... Efforts and Challenges," Ambassador Al-Sunaini touched upon the Yemeni government's efforts to support education in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to create a stable, prosperous security environment.

He pointed to Yemen's distinguished geographical location in connecting civilizations, and the origins and development of bilateral relations and diplomacy with Japan since the 1930s, praising the advanced and distinguished levels reached by the bilateral relations in terms of growth and prosperity.

The seminar, attended by members of the university council, academics, and students, included an interactive session that addressed many inquiries about education and Yemeni women, the history and civilization of Yemen, and the extent of contributions and factors that can be cooperated on with various segments of Japanese society to support and develop the educational process in Yemen, as well as introduce the Yemeni culture and civilization.

These meetings are part of the embassy's efforts to introduce Yemen and create channels of communication and cooperation in the field of education, and explore how to benefit from Japan's pioneering experience in advanced education fields to achieve sustainable development goals.
