PARIS - SABA
Yemen's Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Dr. Muhammad Jumaih announced that the organization had approved five projects to support journalism in Yemen.
He told Saba that the organization held in Paris the conference of the International Program for the Development of Communication at UNESCO, in which Yemen holds the position of Deputy Head of the Program Office, for the first time since the establishment of the program 44 years ago. He pointed out that the mission nominated the resident Yemeni journalist in Paris Khaled Al-Khaled to represent our country, during the conference’s work period.
Jumayh stated that the conference approved all recommendations formulated by the Yemeni mission to UNESCO to approve funding for projects related to Yemen, which were independently submitted by institutions and non-governmental organizations last December.
